My week #8

This week was very eventful to say the least! On Monday I went to tesco with my mum, I really want to build up the distance I can walk and the amount of time I can stand and I want to practice difference 'types' of walking which may sound a bit weird so let me explain... Sometimes you are walking constantly, if you have a destination, this is when you tend to walk quite quickly. Other times you are standing up quite a lot but may only take a step every now and again, this is when you are 'wandering'. I hope that makes sense but I want to be able to walk quickly somewhere and to be able to stand for a longer amount of time.

On Tuesday, me, my mum, nan, brother and sister went to the beach and to the aquarium. The day started pretty early for me, we got up, dressed, picked my nan up and I did my make up in the car. Them when we were about 10 minutes away from the beach, driving through the high street/town centre, mums car suddenly cut out. She restarted it but it gave off this horrible smell and we had to pull into a bus stop. After a lot of checking the car over (mum), working out what to do and panicking (me), we called the RAC and the lovely man helped us, reassured me and we finally got to the beach. We had lunch on the beach and then went to the aquarium.

On Wednesday I tried to rest for most of the day but took my rabbit, Poppy to the vets in the afternoon. Yes, I left the house 3 days in a row.

We had another early start *groan* on Thursday because we had a dentist appointment at 9am, then my friend Lucy came to see me in the afternoon.

Friday was my brothers 10th birthday, my mum made him this Minecraft cake.

Saturday night was spent feeling like this...

I had bad payback for doing too much earlier in the week *slaps wrist*, so Sunday was spent resting, although I did wash my hair which is a super exhausting especailly as there is so much of it!

There won't be a weekly post for the next couple of weeks, I'm going on holiday and am planning to write a post per day for the week that we are away instead and we're going to Colchester Zoo next Monday so keep your eyes peeled for a post on that too.

My Week #7

I don't really feel like there's much to report from this week if I'm honest.  I guess the most exciting thing would be that I managed a trip out the house on Tuesday to go shopping (again!). Tuesday seems to be my day for going out of the house!

The mothership called...

Then the rest of the week was mostly spent doing this...

(Making loom bands - it's really addicting!)

And this....

Friday was exciting though because we had a technology-free day, played board games, had a water fight, made loom bands and just generally hung out as a family.

M.E-wise I've not been too bad this week. The pain has been okay but my throat has been very sore and I've had lots of ulcers which really grosses me out - I'm really worried about accidentally popping them whilst eating! Gross! I've really been struggling to sleep this week (the hot weather hasn't helped) and haven't managed to nod off before 2am most nights so have been super tired in a tired-sleepy way, not just a totally-exhausted way.

Next week I'm hoping to leave the house a couple of times, so we'll see how that goes.

My week #6

After suffering from payback on Monday, i was still determined to go out on Tuesday (sometimes you have to do something even if you know you're body will hate you for it). Me, my mum and nan went shopping and I had the best day!
I bought quite a few bits (I'll do a haul post soon!) and I got my eyebrows threaded for the first time which was super exciting (I was kinda scared too)! I expected it to really hurt but it didn't hurt at all, don't get me wrong, I could feel it being done but it wasn't painful.
The finished result ... They are a lot tidier!

My hips hurt quite a lot from walking which was a bit strange and it's usually my legs and knees that suffer more but that evening, I had a bath with my Aromatheropy Associates Relax Light bath oil (which was a gift for my birthday).  I had been umm-ing and ahh-ing over buying the AA trial set which comes with mini bottles of all 9 of their oils for a while and finally decided to give them a go. I thought I'd start with Relax Light rather than Relax Deep and it really helped me to get to sleep. I mention quite a lot that the more I do, the harder I find it to sleep. I always seem to take a good 4/5 hours to get to sleep after a busy day but this time I only took about 15/20 minutes which is amazing and I slept for 12 hours too!

My cousin made me a loom bracelet which made my day!

The rest of the week was spent resting and recovering from going out on Tuesday. It was pretty hot which I like because the heat helps burn up some of my pain but it also makes me a lot more tired and I find it more difficult to rest because I get too hot in bed. We seemed to have about 2 million thunderstorms though which made it difficult to sleep.

Still awake at this ridiculous hour!

Since I have been ill, I feel like my eyes are so much more sensitive than they used to be. After the lightening, I kept seeing flashes for at least 48 hours afterwards. I promise I'm not paranoid, my eyes just seem to hold onto light for longer!

Cuddles with Teddy Brown at the end of the week..

So that was my week, how was yours?

My week #5

I was freezing cold for the whole beginning of the week. My body really doesn't seem to be able to control or regulate my temperature at the moment. On Tuesday my fingers went blue/purple.
My mum dropped me off at college to hand in an assignment, then we popped into Starbucks so I could get one of these bad boys ....

.... A mocha cookie crumble frappachino!  Yum!

We then went for a drive, mum popped to Argos whilst I sat in the car and then we went to matalan. I'm actually really impressed that I managed all this because it sounds like a lot, even though it only took a couple of hours and I was sat in the car for most of it. I felt so rough when I woke up that morning and I had a few moments, especailly in college and Starbucks when I just had to focus on the most random things and pray my legs wouldnt give way. I honestly felt amazingly ill. It's crazy how just waking up can make you feel so bad!

On Friday it was my sisters birthday... Here's a picture of her cake...

Me and my mum had a girls night in and watched About Time - love that film!! And I had the best Caeser Salad of all time..! Then this happened... Oops...!

#sorrynotsorry

On Saturday, I made my mum a birthday cake... (Is it me or is this weeks post basically just food?! I've kinda fallen off the healthy eating wagon!)

Then on Sunday, it was my mums birthday and we went out for a pub lunch.

 My mummy!!

My Week #3

The plan for Monday was to go shopping for my mums birthday present but it didn't go exactly to plan. I got up and ready but suddenly felt like I was going to be sick just before leaving and the stomach pains came back! After about 45 I felt well enough to go and although I still felt really unwell for most of the time we were out, im result glad I decided to go. I took my wheelchair which, not gonna lie, helped SO much! It honestly helped me loads and I'm so glad I took it instead of being stubborn and walking. I can't imagine the amount of pain I would of been in if I had walked - I was in a lot of pain anyway!

Birthday nails

It was my 17th birthday on Thursday. I had a lovely day at home with my mum and my auntie and nan too, opening presents and drinking tea and eating cake. I would of liked to be well enough to go out but there's always next year.. I'll be 18!

Birthday goodies!

On Saturday I was going to go to a charity concert with my family but wasn't well enough to go - boo!
But luckily I felt a lot better on Sunday because me, my mum, my sister and brother went out for breakfast for my birthday treat!

My Week #2

Monday was not such a good day ME-wise, my pain got a lot worse every time I ate something. I felt cold then hot then cold again. I had a headache, felt sick, dizzy and just not good. Glands made an appearance too and were super sore! I managed a little bit of college work but not much. I didn't even manage a shower or bath, kinda gross but true.

Bright pink nails from the beginning of the week.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, I felt a lot worse and began to get bad stomach pain which meant that I didn't eat much or get much college work done. I felt really ill, which was probably the worst I've felt in nearly a year.

Thursday I felt a little bit better but still didn't manage to sleep much and was feeling very anxious about why I was feeling so ill and why my stomach hurt so bad.

By Friday I was pretty much okay but still wasn't eating properly and my stomach was sore. I just couldn't put my finger on why I had stomach pains when I hadn't eaten anything different, didn't have an upset stomach or had been sick.

Saturday I painted my nails with Barry M - Greenberry and had a pretty chilled day. It was pretty hot and did a little bit of college work. Really not a very interesting day.

I also started a new book, and read it in the garden.

P.S it's a sad one!

Sunday I washed my hair and had a shower. We had a BBQ for dinner and chocolate covered strawberries - yum!

Change of Diet - 2 week update

I was intending to do a weekly update on my new diet, or "change of lifestyle" should I say but I missed te weekly point so two weeks it is! The hardest thing has definitely been the sugar cravings, especially at 'that time of the month', girls I know a lot of you will be with me on that one!
I've also struggled with eating out. For example, if my family are having fish and chips at the beach, what do I eat from the fish and chip shop? I will of had salad for my lunch so don't really want to eat the exact same for my dinner!
Another thing I've been struggling with is flavour and finding ways of making my meals taste different and seem exciting.
I think I've lost a bit of weight, I never weight myself and I have measured myself or anything like that so can't give you the exact facts or figures but I've definitely noticed a few changes.
I'm a lot less bloated and haven't felt sick or had any stomach problems since. I think cutting out bread and carbs has made me feel a bit better and I've noticed how ill certain foods do make me feel, it's hard to tell when you're eating them all the time!
I'm not gonna lie, I have had a few things that aren't on my diet plan but I've figured that that's okay, one ice cream is not going to kill me and I'm going to stick to the plan and be good 99% of the time.
I've been liking the Nakd Bars, the apple pie and the berry cheeky ones are my faves but I like the cocoa one too!
So that's it for my two week update, let me know of any foods or recipes you think I might be able to try.
